Though the Italian heritage is certainly omnipresent at Palmeiras, you’d be surprised the team, in its centenary history, has only played 16 games on Italian soil. These took place between 1963 and 1999 and compile seven victories, six draws and three defeats. One of these games – in fact, the last one – has a special place in history books: Palmeiras’ largest victory of all times, 15-0 against a mixed team from the Val D’Aosta region, on 15 July 1999.
