PUMA has announced the launch of Palmeiras’ 2020 kits for training and travel, with more than 30 new items such as t-shirts, polo shirts, jackets, sweatshirts, shorts, pants, caps, bags, among others. Prices range from R$ 59.90 (US$ 15) for accessories and R$ 129.90 (US$ 33) for clothing. Starting today (Friday 10th), a first part of the collection will be available on PUMA.com and Palmeiras’ physical and online stores. As of 20 January, parts of the collection will also be available at Centauro, Futfanatics, Netshoes and Bayard stores.
“With elements of innovation and contemporaneity, the 2020 line developed for Palmeiras follows PUMA standards for major international teams, such as Manchester City and Milan”, says Fábio Kadow, Head of Marketing at PUMA Brazil. “We have created a line with a wide range of products and in different price ranges. The Palmeiras supporter will have several options when looking to wear official club products”, he concludes.
Athletes and staff will debut the new kits as they embark for the sixth edition of the Florida Cup, an international tournament taking place January 13-20, in Florida, United States. As part of the club’s project for internationalization, PUMA and Palmeiras will do joint activities during the competition: there will be a Meet & Greet with players at the United World Soccer store at the Florida Mall on the 13th, starting at 6 pm local time, and there will be a “Palmeiras Space” at the Universal Studios parks and Exploria Stadium. In these spaces, visitors can check out the new PUMA/Palmeiras gear and take photos with trophies. The club mascots Gobatto and Periquito will also be there to challenge visitors to a video game and teqball matches.
“After a successful first year of partnership between Palmeiras and PUMA, we are happy to start the season with the launch of the 2020 collection at the Florida Cup. To broaden the reach of our brand, which is already present in the United States, we will do a series of activities aimed at the public during the tournament”, says Roberto Trinas, Marketing Director at Palmeiras.
