Rivaldo signs contract until 2011
Yesterday night (29/7), midfielder Rivaldo signed a contract with Palmeiras until December 2011. Below, more details about the player, as available on Palmeiras’ official website:

Kleber sees the birth of daughter Giovanna
Striker Kleber Wednesday rushed out of football practice – after receiving the green light from Scolari, of course – when informed that his third child, Giovanna, was about to see the light of day. Giovanna is Kleber’s third child, although the first together with his new wife Débora Favarini.

Belluzzo comments on derby
Palmeiras president Belluzzo stated the obvious the other day, referring to Palmeiras-Corinthians as the greatest derby in São Paulo. This might have upset a few São Paulo FC or Santos supporters, but is nevertheless true, as also practically unanimously confirmed by sports journalists all over the country the same and following day. 

Wizard in sponsor deal with Palmeiras
Exclusively for Sunday’s game against arch rival Corinthians, the language training company Wizard will sponsor Palmeiras and have its logo branded on the sleeves of the jersey. The deal is a clear reference to the comeback of El Mago, the Chilean midfielder Valdivia.
