While Palmeiras – as in the A Team – has had rough times as of late, the young are showing the way. Palmeiras yesterday (Sunday) beat Vitória 3-1 in the semi-final of the Brazilian Sub-20 Championship. The opponent in Thursday’s final is Cruzeiro, with the kick-off set to 18h. This is, surprisingly enough, the first time that a team from São Paulo reaches the final stage in this tournament. Watch the highlights below.
Palmeiras, coached by Hamílton Ramos, used the following players: Pegorari (Goalkeeper), Rafael Nunes, Mayko (João Victor), Wellington, Didi, Andrade, Zé Igor (Júlio César), Fellipe Bertoldo (Rodrigo), Caio (Victor Romano), Francinei (Guilherme Silva), and Wellington Tindurim.
Best of luck in tomorrow’s game! Let’s all keep an eye on these promising young players.
