Palmeiras today announced the two first reinforcements for next season. None of the names came as a surprise.
Offensive midfielder Raphael Veiga is 21 years old and considered one of this year’s revelations. Playing for Coritiba since 2013, the 176 cm tall São Paulo born has signed a five-year contract with Palmeiras. From a family of palmeirenses, the kid seems very excited with the opportunity, naming Alex (de Souza) as his role model.
The second reinforcement is also an offensive midfielder: 23-year-old Hyoran Kauê Dalmoro from Chapecoense. The deal with Palmeiras was sealed several weeks before the tragic accident involving most of the Santa Catarina team, Hyoran not travelling with the group to Medellin due to an injury. Born in Chapecó, Hyoran stands 174 cm tall and has signed a four-year contract.
Veiga and Hyoran are contenders for the same position, the healthy competition also including Allione, Cleiton Xavier, Fabrício, Moisés and Vitinho.
Welcome and good luck to both! Scoppia che la vittoria è nostra!
