It has been confirmed that former Palmeiras goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri, who for the last two years has been with Liverpool FC, now has completed his switch to Cesena, newcomers in the Italian Serie A.
Cavalieri, 27 years old, started his career at Palmeiras, where he made his debut in June 2002. Cavalieri was capped 33 times in the Brazilian Championship, conceding a total of 47 goals.
On 11 July 2008, he signed a four-year contract with Liverpool. Struggling for first-team football at Anfield and having made just 10 appearances during his first two-years, Cavalieri has opted for moving to Italy in an attempt to reinvigorate his career.
