Today Palmeiras announced the club’s third signing for next season, the last in a trio Alexandre Mattos approached well before the end of the championship to seal verbal agreements. 27-year-old Keno was on several club’s wish list after scoring ten goals for relegated Santa Cruz in this year’s Brasileirão. The forward has signed a four-year contract with Palmeiras.
“2016 was one of the best years in my career, and I hope to keep it up, helping Palmeiras, which is the most important”, the player stated to the Verdão website.
Keno was born in Salvador, state of Bahia, and stands 178 cm tall. He has passed through several clubs, including Mexican club Atlas, for which he played in the 2015 edition of the Libertadores Cup. Keno is fast, creative, and irreverent on the pitch – the kind of player you want in your offensive line-up – and in certain ways similar to Dudu.
Welcome and best of luck, Keno!
